About

Greetings:

My Blog is a work in progress, as am I…

The majority of my posts will be of a poetical nature, free flowing thoughts, and commentaries. ” Life has been my greatest teacher, experience now my guide”.  Penned thoughts are usually a of result of recent events, or past experiences.  Occasionally, I write in third person, in which a message is intended.  Personification, is a favorite of mine; it’s amazing how creative one can be when they become a bench, a bee, a tree…etc…

I do have a fascination with mythology, and the classics, so you’ll discover poems dedicated to the gods, the heroes and the unfortunate.  There is a wealth of truth to glean from the pages of the ancient poets, writers, philosophers.

The following is a brief list of poets, philosophers, and writers I admire:

Ovid

Virgil

Plato

Seneca

Sappho

Bilitis

Dante

Milton

Shakespeare

Goethe

Rousseau

Byron

Baudelaire

Rossetti

The Brontes

Lady Mary Wroth

Veronica

Emily Dickinson

Jane Austin

Sarah Teasdale

Sylvia Plath

Anne Sexton

The list goes on… as my library is vast and truly my refuge in the ever changing world we inhabit.  Thank you for viewing my mini biography; I hope you enjoyed your visit.

If you ever have the time, do invest some of it, in reading my favorite philosopher and poet,”Kahlil Gibran”; he would make an excellent addition to your shelf.

  2. I would like to invite you to be an author on Poets Corner.

  5. Thank you for the follow and reblog, I appreciate it 🙂

  6. Consider William Stafford and Sharon Olds.

  7. A contemporary poet (and novelist), but one well-attuned to the ancients, is Elizabeth Cunningham. The main character of her Maeve Chronicles is my muse. Her newest poetry collection is So Ecstasy Can Find You.
