~ What Heart

~ What Heart
Has not had grief to bare

To sit dazed unaware

Lost within pains whirlwind

Seems to consume, never end…
What heart

Has not felt such elation

A dreamy state of loves libation

Intoxicated by the mere thought

‘He loves me, he loves me not’
What heart

Has not rattled the cage

Of inhibitions at any age

Breaking the so called rules

Aw, love has made all such fools
What heart

When aged, does slowly beat

Recalls the flutter bittersweet

That drew fourth taunt each string

That made life a lovers song to sing
What heart

Has not had grief to bare
To sit dazed unaware

Lost within pains whirlwind

That seems to consume, never end…

What heart?
