~ Metamorphosis ~

~ Metamorphosis ~

Adrift upon the Potomac
One with water, wind and cloud
Summer was singing her last song
As Autumn came strutting along

I’d never seen such beauty in dying
Cascading colors to waters edge
She’d touched upon each leaf and limb
A metamorphosis did begin…

I knew just as the seasons changing
So too, my spiritual river retreats
Where I had learned to become one
With water, wind, cloud and Son.
