~ Swan Song ~

~ Swan Song ~

Eyes bathed in beauty -This moment is all mine…A lake of silent wakes, where a pair of graceful swans do glide

Each enraptured with the other, necks they do entwine, pure white their plumage; this scene nearing, on divine

Observing their elegant adoration, I stand within a state of awe, wondering if they know, their ability, to enthrall

Monogamous by nature is where true beauty lies, devoted to each other, even if one sadly dies

The one who’s left to wander, wander all alone, greaves until death, stills, the mournful swan song

Eyes bathed in beauty – This moment is all mine…a lake of silent wakes, where a pair of graceful swans do glide.
