~ Of Husband, Of Wife ~

~ Of Husband, Of Wife ~

To days that passed as if a dream
When the enchantment of Eros reigned supreme
The heart echoed contentments beat
Together, as one, were lives complete

Vows that were spoken not in haste
But honored in love, forever embraced
Unions that brought fourth precious life
Sanctioned by God, of husband of wife

How different this world would be
If vows were still taken seriously;
Generations will come and go
And marvel how it once was so-

That no matter the troubles or strife
They stood as one, husband and wife!
