~ When Melancholia Comes to Call ~

~ When Melancholia Comes to Call ~

When melancholia comes to call
Seeping through bones and all
And that dark abyss calls your name
With all effort, try to restrain

Restrain yourself from giving in
To the pain that covets the soul within
Thereby choosing memories flight
When all was wonderful beautifully bright

It is a battle all have fought
It is a battle from memories brought
Can consume heart, body and mind
Leaving one drained, is so unkind

So when darkness attempts to overtake
Remember ’tis no ones fate
To live void of laughter, love and joy
Find within that happy decoy

And rise triumphant, refuse that date
When melancholia attempts to overtake
Sapping, draining, the essence called you
Rise the victor; the culprit subdue!
