~ Merry-go-Memories ~

~ Merry-go-Memories ~

I walk the vale where hours spent
Lost in thought, tranquil, content
Where innocence longs to linger
Beneath a mid day sun

I reminisce of youthful bliss
The wonderment in that first kiss
When lips, flavored by blackberries
First sowed the seed of love

Daydreaming, eyes as distant orbs
“The awakening” time absorbs
Where merry-go-memories go round
Flushing the face of favor

A hint of first loves satisfied smile
Comes and goes, stays awhile
Transparent, this love sick look
With mysteries to unfold

Oh! The power of Cupids dart
Penetrating the youthful heart
Nights no longer of sweet slumber
Devoid of answers, questions prevail!

I walk the vale where hours spent
Lost in thought, tranquil, content
Where innocence longs to linger
Beneath a mid day sun
