~ A Poets Perspective ~

~ A Poets Perspective ~

Sipping my morning tea
Gentle blows a summer breeze
And the Mandavellas laugh
Climbing high the trellis
Pink blooms open
Bathing beneath
A peek-a-boo sun
Undulating leaflets
Appear dizzy
Caught in a cross wind
That passes by
And still
They quiver

Jubilant the golden fiches
Feeding from a fish net stocking
Thistle seeds protruding
Here and there
A small hole
Where appetites savored
Such delicate treats
Satisfied
Flying to destinations
Unknown

And the vineyard tops
Rise and fall
Rise and fall
As a wave at open sea
In rapid succession
Coursing from first one
Then another
Exposing succulent
Grapes
Ripe for the picking

I’m sipping my morning tea
My muse and me
