~ Absorbed ~

The need was great…

I bathed my eyes in beauty:

Of bluebirds, buttercups and butterflies

Verdant hills and tranquil skies,

Brooks babbling to the sea

Oak groves shrouded in mystery

Of peaks gently kissing cloud

Eagle warning wafting loud

Doe and fawn in graceful leap

Bunnies in the clover reap

I’ll concentrate on these;

Where the soul sits at ease

In  natures simplistic reprieve.
